Liquid Body,
20. - 21. September

Liquid Body originates in a dance practice centred around endurance and timing. It’s about something that started as nothing, but slowly developed into a piece, about music that moved from being a crutch to a participant – and which will now become a live duet. The choreographic material is formed through continual repetition; scenes crystallise, and a clear palette of movements, rituals, gestures and repetitions form the basis of the piece.

Liquid Body is not only a dance performance, but also a concert by and with ddancer and choreographer Siri Jøntvedt and percussionist and composer Ingar Zach. The performance is based on Zach’s award-winning album Musica Liquida from 2022. Together they explore the movements and sound in relation to a unique acoustic space – Emanuel Vigeland’s mausoleum. Liquid Body is performed here, which is also where the album was recorded.
