With 17 years of experience, Antero Hein is one of the first parkour practitioners in Scandinavia. Over the years, he has helped to build up the Swedish and Norwegian parkour culture. Parkour is a form of movement in which the practitioner (traceur) aims to move as energy-efficiently as possible in a complex, urban environment. As a dance artist, Hein wants to elevate parkour to the level of the stage for the first time, and explore its potential as performance art. His aim is to establish parkour as an artistic language, and explore the acrobatic rawness of parkour in its interaction with stage and technology. His focus is on how modern communications technology and media influence our psyche, bodies and hormones in the same way as movement and physical interaction. The Uventa production is parkour with a quiet sincerity and sensuality between the performers and their surroundings, with a touch of the unexpected and unpredictable.
