Focus: femininity and the female body.
The House dance style is the starting point for this production in which femininity - in movement, energy and dance - is a main theme. Solos and duets centre around the dancers’ own forms of expression, which include hip-hop, dancehall, locking, popping and krump. The production is an arena for freedom of expression and creates unique images and situations which arise in the encounter between the technically brilliant dancers.
The French Paradox-sal is made up of female dancers with a range of cultural and artistic backgrounds. Choreographer Ousmane Sy wants to create a space where they can develop dance together, in dialogue with each other’s backgrounds.
The production is performed on the same evening as Nach - Cellule.
