Trans people and people with various disabilities come together on stage to share their personal experiences, perspectives and challenges created by their sexuality. What does “normal” mean when we use the word to describe a person and their body? Which parts of our bodies are considered to be desirable? Which bodies have access to an effective and healthy sex life?
The 71BODIES dance and performance company was established by Daniel Mariblanca, and since 2016 has been using sexuality as a powerful tool to express universality in a series of multidisciplinary projects. The company has received a number of awards for its work, including the Bergens Tidendes Critics’ Prize and the Pernille Prize. The latest award was Heddaprisen for best dance performance for In First Person - The Dance.
