In C, by accalaimed German choreographer Sasha Waltz with music by Terry Riley, had its world première three years ago, and was a huge international success. The following year the Norwegian dance company Nagelhus Schia Productions was the first professional company to receive the license to perform the piece with their own dancers. Now you can experience the Norwegian version of one of the world’s most famous choreographers at Dansens Hus.

In C is based on a 1964 piece of music of the same name, by the American composer Terry Riley. Riley’s masterpiece is an open composition, revolutionary in its time, and generally considered to be the first piece of minimalist music. Based on this milestone in music history, Sasha Waltz and her dancers have developed choreographic material which follows a similar variable structure, deliberately not made to be a ‘finished piece.’
