Workshop: Supa Rich Kids

Oulouy, together with his international crew Supa Rich Kids, made up of himself, Yemi Osokoya, Ambrose Tjark and Ordinateur, will for the first time teach exclusive street dance masterclasses in Oslo. 

The company invites you to explore some of the key styles in street dances from various countries on the African continent such as coupé-decalé, afrohouse, amapiano, ndomboló or naija fusion. The company will also explore street dance as a motor for choreographic creation.

This is a unique opportunity to cultivate new knowledge and learn new languages in street dance with acclaimed talents on the international scene.

Born in the Ivory Coast and living in Barcelona for decades, Oulouy combines his facet as a dancer, choreographer and artistic director, with his educational work, giving masterclasses all over the world. He gained a double nomination at the 24th Catalan Performing Arts Critics Awards and the Dansacat Awards as best dancer of the year, and was awarded second prize ant the 19th Burgos & New York International Choreography Competition. He is founder of the International Festival Oyofe, dedicated to urban dances.

Ambrose Tjark is an artist that lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria, and individualizes the elements of his environment and synergizes stylized performance with indigenous originality. His organizational effort to unite his surroundings with indigenous dance has ignited community building and has been felt within the dance community He is the founder of a wack company that employs unconventional style to fashion and costume, and he has worked with the artist Qudus Onikeku, the UK artist Skepta, and Wizkid to name a few.

Born in the Ivory Coast and based in France, Ordinateur is a dancer, choreographer and director of his company Magic Feet. He was awarded best dancer in Yopougon (2010), best duo (2014), and nominated by Coupé Decalé Awards (2016), Haipa (2017) and African Talent Awards (2017). He has worked with numerous international artists, including Vercho Lolas, Eric Olomide, Dinosore and Kedjevara and music legend DJ Arafat. Ordinateur combines his dance practise with teaching and social-oriented projects.

Yemi Afolabi Osokoya is a movement artist, choreographer and filmmaker who lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria. He has worked with artist Qudus Onikeku, has participated in the Afropolis gathering in Barcelona in collaboration with Africa Moment in the Grec Festival 2020, and has worked for several music artists like Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Wizkid doing co-choreography and culture influencing efforts. Yemi is one of the key choreographers and dance conceptualists in Nigeria.
