The performance TARAB by the Iranian-Austrian company ATASH explores underrepresented and forbidden movement material that comes from pre-Islamic cultural heritage from West Asia. Philologist, media researcher and author Elisabeth Eide will in this lecture talk about how body and movement have been censored in societies she knows. What makes some bodies more offensive than others, and how are they removed from the general public?

Elisabeth Eide is professor emerit. at OsloMet - Metropolitan University. A main focus of her research is media and marginalization with emphasis on gender and various minorities. She has published/edited numerous books and articles, as well as five novels. She also has experience as a journalist in Norway and abroad.
