Baloji’s vibrant music video looks at Congolese pygmy wedding traditions. “I see music in colours,” Baloji says. “I have synesthesia, so whatever I do I see colours and atmosphere." The video 'Bleu de Nuit' translates, in one sense, to 'Midnight Blue', but Baloji’s interpretation of it has a more tangled meaning.

Director / Choreographer: Sham Kwan Yin
    Country of production: Hong Kong
    Year of production: 2018
    Length: 22:38

In this experimental short film, a group of jailers is assigned to endlessly guard an old abandoned jail. A deserter's escape has shaken the worlds of the remaining jailers: should they succumb to the powerful authority and guard the empty shell or should they pursue their freedom?

    5. In Plain Sight

    Director / Choreographer: Tanin Torabi
    Country of production: Iran
    Year of production: 2020
    Length: 10:31

In plain sight is the result of months of exploring urban movements on a boulevard in Tehran, Iran. In a society where many questions and restrictions exist around the concept of ‘movement’, three performers interact with their surroundings and thus become an integral part of the flow of the city. Tanin Torabi won in 2019 the Cinedans International Student Competition with her film The Dérive.
