"The Song" is a piece for nine men and one woman that bespeaks the imminence of a time when our ever-increasing speed of change out-runs itself.

Man taps the earth´s last natural resources and the physical body, as we know it, slowly but surely vanishes. During this acceleration to quietness, the question begs itself: what belongs to the future and what to the past?

Key in these seething forces is the changing role of the body - as an acoustic box of the currents and the chaos in which it finds itself. A step into the unknown, a cry for action, a flight to the vague border of dusk and dawn.

"The Song" begins where Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker´s Keeping Still and Zeitung ended: the point of rest of a revolving world.
