How can we produce a collective in which we work together, while still allowing room for complex and individual performance? Lightness: Fleire examines how we can be together without being the same, in which the collective is about enabling the existence of a multi-voiced community or in musical terms, a polyphony. A coexistence of different dancers and costumes, a landscape of light and voices, in which all materials and expressions have their own tactility and independence.
Dancing together is a phenomenon in which we can practise a fellowship and can give each other roots and wings.
Lightness is an all-encompassing title describing an artistic work that examines how choreography can be manifested in multiple expressions at the same time. Lightness is an exercise in staying alive, a work that wants to produce an excess from which several people can benefit. Lightness has been initiated and led by Solveig Styve Holte, and developed in a process of cooperation and friction with all involved.
